Learn to avoid dangerous behaviors, spot possible problem areas, and take pro-active steps to help ensure that no matter how you and your family uses the Internet, you are able to make safe online choices.
The Internet is a useful tool for parents, businesses, schools, and children alike. It provides new and unique global access to information and resources. As with any new advancement, in addition to tremendous potential benefits, comes the opportunity for dangerous consequences.
The modern family of today spends a great deal of time online. Various family members use the Internet for homework, E-mail, blogging, shopping, researching, or simply chatting and sharing information on Social Networking sites and via instant messenger. Our families are growing up in a digital age where the possibilities of a loved one being targeted by an online predator, criminal, or bully are alarmingly high.
